Hierfür stehen dem Forscher 25 Jugendliche, etwa gleichaltrige Probanden zur Verfügung. In einer Vormessung wird mittels eines Tests die Fähigkeit zur Aufmerksamkeitssteuerung erhoben. Entsprechend des erreichten Wertes aus diesem Test werden die Probanden in eine Rangreihe gebracht und verschiedenen Bedingungen zugeordnet: 0 Stunden, eine halbe Stunde, eine Stunde, anderthalb Stunden und zwei Stunden Computerspielzeit. Unmittelbar danach wird eine Switch-Aufgabe zur Messung der Aufmerksamkeitsflexibilität beim Aufgabenwechsel durchgeführt.
