Seine Frage möchte er an vier Kindergartengruppen (mit je 11, 13, 14 und 17 Kindern) mit Einverständnis der Eltern überprüfen. Zunächst misst er mittels eines Konzentrationsleistungstests nach dem gemeinsamen Frühstück die Konzentrationsleistung. Eine Woche später erhebt er nochmals die Konzentrationsleistung unmittelbar nach verschiedenen Spieltätigkeiten der Kinder. Kindergartengruppe 1 hat gerade ein Gruppenspiel im Stuhlkreis hinter sich, Kindergartengruppe 2 kommt gerade vom Spielplatz im Garten, Kindergartengruppe 3 wird nach dem Vorlesen einer Geschichte getestet und Kindergartengruppe 4 nach dem Spielen mit elektronischen Lerncomputern.
