Man geht davon aus, dass besonders eine positive Stimmung das logische Denken unterstützt. In einer Studie soll deshalb der Einfluss von Stimmungen auf die Leistung in Matrizentests untersucht werden. Es werden 10 Physikstudenten des Grundstudiums untersucht. 5 der Probanden sehen zuerst eine Komödie auf DVD, die übrigen 5 sehen eine wissenschaftliche Dokumentation über Afrika. Danach sollen alle einen 10minütigen Matrizentest bearbeiten. Nach dem Test wird gewechselt. Die ersten 5 sehen nun die Dokumentation und die anderen schauen die Komödie. Im Anschluss bearbeiten die Physikstudenten einen weiteren 20minütigen Matrizentest.
